A new headquarters for ‘affordable’ rail service, Lumo, in Newcastle. Delivering the fit-out and furnishing the workspace features a variety of spaces from collaboration areas to agile working facilities with a contemporary feel throughout.
Janus Architecture then returned to Lumo’s recently fitted-out flagship Newcastle office to install state-of-the-art training facilities. The design provides both a desktop learning area and an advanced train simulator. The addition will help to provide vital training to Lumo drivers to help deliver the East Coast Digital Programme (ECDP) – a transformation that will provide continuous speed-based signalling through a screen in the driver’s cab.
