Site works are progressing rapidly at the new Perry Barr bus depot.
The building shell of both the Maintenance Depot and Service Lane infrastructure is now complete, with the internal fit out phase commencing. The external yard is also partly surfaced so that National Express’s “depot of the future” can now be truly appreciated.
Once complete, the depot will accommodate 180 no. buses, with a significant proportion being all-electric. The depot will provide modern staff facilities, training suites, maintenance and advance body shop capabilities and act as a regional hub for the bus operator.
This new facility represents the new National Express standard in creating, safe, functional and efficient workspaces for their employees. It also contributes to their commitment to a zero-emission targets.
